GIs comprising Māori word(s) or imagery

GIs comprising Māori word(s), imagery or having Māori significance, will need to go to the Māori Advisory Committee for advice.

The function of the Māori Advisory Committee is to advise the Registrar whether the use or registration of a wine or spirit GI is or is likely to be offensive to Māori.
