IPONZ has recently been made aware of a change to WIPO’s PATENTSCOPE tool. This tool now requires a security check before downloading abstract drawings for National Phase Entry applications. This, in turn, means that the IPONZ online system is currently not able to download corresponding drawings directly from WIPO.

We are currently working together with WIPO to rectify this concern. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this issue.

If you wish to include an abstract drawing to your National Phase Entry application, you will need to retrieve this manually and upload this at the time of filing the application. Abstract drawings may also be added to an application as part of a voluntary amendment request.
