Creative sector study – Survey of creative sector participants

MBIE is undertaking a survey as part of its ongoing study of the creative sector. This survey is open to copyright holders, copyright licensees and copyright contributors who work in the creative sector.

The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) is currently undertaking a study to gain a better understanding of the creative sector and how it interacts with the copyright and designs regimes. This study will culminate in a report looking at how the copyright and designs regimes are used by the various creative industry subsectors in a changing technological landscape.

As part of this study, MBIE is undertaking a survey to better understand copyright use amongst creative sector participants. This survey will explore areas such as general awareness of copyright, the different ways that people use their copyrighted works, and peoples’ experiences with protecting their copyrighted works. It was released on Monday, 8 August and will close on Friday, 19 August 2016.
