Our Hearings Office has recently developed guidelines that relate to other types of disputes or requests which may be raised under the Patents Act 2013. These other types of disputes/requests include:
- Disputes between co-owners of a patent (s 26);
- Disputes between employees and employers in relation to a granted patent or application (s 28);
- Disputes between other parties in relation to patent applications (s 131); and
- Requests or claims to be mentioned as an inventor (s 190).
These new guidelines provide information about these different types of disputes/requests, and the procedural steps that are likely to be set down by the Office.
