Public submissions invited on transitional provisions of the Patents Act

Consultation on proposed amendments to transitional provisions of the Patents Act 2013 relating to divisional patent applications.

The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) is seeking feedback on proposed amendments to section 258 of the Patents Act 2013. This section relates to divisional patent applications based on parent applications filed under the Patents Act 1953.

The consultation document identifies potential issues with the transitional provisions and proposes amendments to deal with these issues.
