Public submissions on the Geographical Indications Amendment Bill

The Geographical Indications (Wine and Spirits) Registration Amendment Bill (“The GI Amendment Bill”), which amends the GI Act to ensure a smooth registration process, was introduced to Parliament on 3 November 2015. It was debated for the first time on 17 March 2016, and will go through the select committee process.

Public submissions are now invited on the GI Amendment Bill with a closing date of Friday, 29 April 2016. For information on making a submission, please see the GI Registration Amendment Bill page on the New Zealand Parliament website.
