Update to Trade Mark Practice Guidelines

IPONZ has updated its practice guidelines to include guidance on limiting and non-limiting terms in goods and services specifications.

IPONZ has recently updated its Annexure General practice guidelines for trade marks. These new guidelines clarify how trade mark examiners will assess certain limiting/non-limiting terms (e.g. “Comprising of…”, “Such as…”, “For example…”) within goods and services specifications.
